EllCie Photography was officially established in 2015 in Concord, NC. It was founded by two friends, Laura & Crystal, who have always had an interest and passion for photography. For several years we spent time developing our skills and having fun while we learned. We worked with each others families and spent time trying new things and building our portfolio. We truly have a passion for working with our clients to capture memories and events through the eye of a camera. In 2015 it was time to take the hobby to the next level and EllCie Photograph was established.
Laura started taking photos when she received her first DSLR camera back in 2008. Over the years she has spent time photographing friends and family. She was called for friends events because she had the "nice camera." However, those calls harvested her desire to learn more. In the summer of 2015, after taking our second job for an upcoming wedding, Laura decided to get serious and signed up for her first class, a boot-camp all about her camera. Since then she has continued on to complete the first of three levels of photography certification through The Photo Classroom (based in Charlotte, NC). After completing the first certification level, Laura has continued to enhance her skills by enrolling for an internship with The Professional Photography Group. Laura enjoys taking pictures pretty much anywhere. She has experience in photographing sporting events, nature, and landscapes, but most of all she enjoys working with families, kids, and couples.
Crystal's passion for photography began several years ago. It started out with taking pictures of her kids and she would call and borrow friends cameras to build her skills. She finally got her first DSLR in 2012 and her desire to work with families to document special occasions only blossomed from there. Crystal has an eye for detail and a flair for creativity. She knows just how to make you relax and have fun on all our shoots. She has a gift for working with people and seeing the shot before it's saved to the memory stick.
